Best Endeavours — Best Endeavours Duty

Legal Terms

The legal duty on all maintained schools to use their 'best endeavours' to meet the special educational needs of their pupils, whether or not they have an EHC Plan (s.66, Children and Families Act 2014). This is a higher standard than 'reasonable endeavours'.
