HI — Hearing Impairment

Types of Need

Partial or total loss of hearing. May require specialist teachers of the deaf, radio aids, BSL interpreters, modified acoustics and adapted teaching materials. Children with significant HI often have a specialist HI teacher (Qualified Teacher of the Deaf) involved in their provision.
